LG Sinha Assigns Portfolios To Sworn-in Cabinet Ministers

Srinagar: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has assigned portfolios to recently sworn-in Cabinet ministers led by JKNC’s Omar Abdullah.

The LG in an order said that in pursuance of rule 4 (2) of the Transaction of Business of the Government of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir Rules, 2019, Suridner Kumar Chaudary, the Deputy Chief Minister, is being assigned Public Works (R&B), Industries & Commerce, Mining, Labour & Employment and Skill Development, Sakeena Masood (Itoo) as Health & Medical Education, School Education, Higher Education and Social Welfare.

Javed Ahmad Rana has been assigned with the charge of Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment and Tribal Affairs, Javid Ahmad Dar with Agriculture Production, Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Cooperative, and Election.

Satish Sharma on the other hand has been assigned with the portfolios of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport, Science & Technology, Information Technology, Youth Services & Sports and ARI & Trainings.

“Any other departments/subjects not allocated to any of the Ministers shall remain with the Chief Minister,” the order, a copy of which lies with Alfaaz – The Words reads.
