Handwara: A huge population in Golipora Zachaldara has been cut from connectivity in the aftermath of a landslide, triggered by incessant rains.
Locals told over the phone that a vast part of the road in Golipora village falling in Behnipora tehsil has got damaged after a landslide occurred in the area.
The local populace has requested district administration Kupwara to take immediate measures for urgent repair of the damaged road.
“A huge chunk of population in the village has got completely disconnected with the other parts and we do hope the district administration will take measures for immediate restoration of the road,” the locals said.
