Srinagar: Four more seismic events, starting intervening Monday and Tuesday night, were recorded in Ladakh and Kishtwar regions giving the local populace a momentarily cradle-like feel as the toll reached 11 in less than twenty hours.
The fresh tremors in Ladakh, as per officials accounts, accordong to Alfaaz- The Words were recorded of 3.0 and 3.4 magnitude at 03:57 am and 10:31 am respectively. The recurring seismic events are believed to be aftershocks of a 5.5 magnitude earthquake in the region at around 3:48 pm on Monday.
On the other hand, the Kishtwar region also witnessed two seismic events of magnitude 2.9 and 2.8 at 11:18 am and 11:28 respectively.
With the fresh disruptions, the toll of events have reached to eleven in less than twenty hours, however there has been no reports of any loss of life or damage to property from anywhere.
