Kupwara: Kupwara is gearing up to host the UT-level Athletic Meet for Under-17 boys and girls, being organized by the Department of Youth Services & Sports. The event is set to kick off tomorrow (Thursday), October 17, at the Sports Stadium in Galizoo, Kupwara.
Athletes from both the Kashmir and Jammu divisions have arrived to a warm welcome from senior officials of the Youth Services & Sports Department, including Mohd Amin Lone, Incharge of Activities. The event is being held under the close supervision of DYSSO Kupwara, Z A Wani.
The meeting is expected to offer a valuable opportunity for selected athletes to represent the Union Territory at the National Level Athletic Meet, paving a path for young talents to further their sporting ambitions.
The meeting not only serves as a platform for athletes to showcase their abilities, but it also promotes sportsmanship and unity among the youth in the region.
The District Youth Services & Sports Officer for Kupwara has extended its best wishes to all participants and has encouraged the society to come out in support of these aspiring athletes as they strive for excellence.
