Kupwara: Polling Process Concludes Peacefully Across All Constituencies, ADC Rouf ur Rehman

Kupwara: Additional Deputy Commissioner Kupwara Mohammad Rouf Rahman on Tuesday said that the polling in all six constituencies in Kupwara concluded in a peaceful atmosphere.

Speaking to Alfaaz- The Words, ADC said that the polling for the final phase in Kupwara district went in a smooth and free way and there was no report of any incident reported from anywhere in the district. “People were seen very enthusiastic while participating & exercising their franchise.”

“I visited almost thirty five constituencies in District Kupwara and the polling was going on smoothly. With full proof preparations, polling began at 7-am. It was a nice day and a good atmosphere and the people were very enthusiastic, mainly those, who were exercising their franchise for first time”, Rouf said.

“We have a total of six constituencies and we saw a good turnout in all of them,” he said.

“In almost every constituency, I found it very peaceful, normal and a hassle free polling and the young voters were coming in huge numbers to enjoy this day and the festival of democracy, more so to vote for their respective desirable candidates,” added the ADC.

Notably, the six assembly constituencies of Kupwara saw an aggregate turnout of 62.76%.
