Kupwara: Jammu and Kashmir Police in Kupwara held a pipping ceremony, under the aegis of Senior Superintendent of Police Ghulam Jeelani Wani (JKPS), to honour the promotion of five officers to higher ranks. The ceremony celebrated the elevation of one Sub-Inspector, three Assistant Sub-Inspectors, and one Head Constable to the ranks of Inspector, Sub-Inspector, and Assistant Sub-Inspector, respectively.

The promoted officers included SI now Inspector Mushtaq Ahmad, ASI now SI Gh Mohammad, ASI now SI Ab Hameed, ASI now SI Shehzad Ah Khan and HC now ASI Farooq Ahmad.

The ceremony was also attended by Addl SP Kupwara GM Bhat, DySP PC Lolab Raies Ahmad, DySP DAR Kupwara Syed Mujahid-ul-Haq and SHO JIC Kupwara Inspector Riyaz Ahmad along with other officers of the district police.

Congratulating the promoted officers, SSP Kupwara expressed his admiration for their dedication, professionalism, and commitment to duty. He said that promotions are a recognition of hard work, integrity, and consistent performance.

“I am confident that the promoted officers will continue to serve with greater zeal and responsibility in their new roles,” SSP Jeelani said.
