Kupwara man shot at home, succumbs to injuries

Kupwara: A 45-year-old man who was shot at by an unknown gunman at his residence in Kandi Khass area of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Saturday, has succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

News agency JKNS quoted a top police officer as saying that the deceased has been identified as Gh Rasool Magray, a resident of Kandi Khass. “After sustaining critical injuries in the firing incident, he was rushed to GMC Handwara for treatment, where he passed away.”

Police have taken cognizance of the incident and launched an investigation to ascertain the circumstances and identity of the assailant.
