Kabaddi Kabaddi Roars: CRPF Srinagar Sector Kabaddi Competition Concludes

Srinagar: The CRPF Srinagar Sector Inter Battalion (Ops)/GC Kabaddi Competition organised by 54 Battalion CRPF concluded in a befitting ceremony at the GC Humhama Campus of the Force.

Chief Guest of the function, Shri Ajay Kumar Yadav, IG Srinagar Sector Officially declared the competition closed in the ceremony.

The three day competition which commenced on 07 Oct 2024 witnessed a total of 24 exhilarating matches where the players from 22 Battalions and a Group Centre of CRPFโ€™s Srinagar Sector contested for supremacy with the display of their physical efficiency, team coordination, and strategy.

The camp witnessed three days of engaging and energetic display of kabaddi by passionate and agile players who put up a great show, enthralling the spectators. The quality of kabaddi played in all matches of all categories not only stayed true to expectations at large but also raised the bar, and thereby, the prestige of the Competition.

73 Battalion were declared the Champions of the competition while 61 Battalion were the runner ups.

Addressing the gathering, Ajay Kumar Yadav, IG Srinagar Sector lauded the glorious sports history of CRPF, and motivated the players to keep their spirit of competitiveness intact and to make it flourish in future. Besides congratulating the winners of the competition, he appreciated Prabhat Kumar Sandwar, Commandant 54 Battalion CRPF and his team for exquisitely organising the 3 day event in addition to their operational commitment.

Central Reserve Police force – the lead internal security force of the country gives great importance to the physical fitness of its personnel which translates into operational efficiency, productivity, and overall well being.

The CRPF has a rich culture of games and sports which helps, not just in maintaining fitness of its personnel, but also builds the team spirit.
