Srinagar: Dilbagh Singh, the incumbent Director General of Police Jammu and Kashmir, is set to retire as the Police chief on October 31.
Singh was appointed as interim chief of the J&K Police on September 6, 2018 following which the government made him the full time DGP in the same year on October 31.
The outgoing police chief is the longest serving Police Chief of J&K.
Meanwhile, Rashmi Ranjan Swain, a senior IPS officer of 1991 Batch, will replace the outgoing police chief and assume the office on the same day the incumbent chief retires.
