Kupwara: The Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute Kupwara successfully concluded the fifth Management Development Programme under the RAMP Scheme, with 15 candidates completing the structured training here.
The batch comprised one male and fourteen female participants who have opted for entrepreneurial ventures in dairy, poultry, sheep rearing, boutique services and other allied activities. The programme was designed to strengthen managerial competence and improve business sustainability among existing entrepreneurs in the district.
District Nodal Officer JKEDI Kupwara, Nazia Shafi, presided over the concluding session. She underlined the importance of professional management practices for enterprise growth and urged participants to translate classroom learning into practical business decisions. She also expressed JKEDIโs commitment to providing continued handholding support to trained entrepreneurs.
The training sessions were conducted by Azmat Hussain, who covered major aspects of enterprise management, including business planning, financial management, record keeping, market assessment and customer engagement. Emphasis was laid on adopting disciplined operational practices and exploring local market opportunities.
JKEDI officials stated that the programme forms part of the instituteโs broader effort to promote entrepreneurship, with special focus on encouraging women-led enterprises in frontier districts like Kupwara.
