Kupwara: The Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI), Kupwara, successfully concluded its one-week Management Development Program (MDP) under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) initiative.
Inaugurated by Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Mr. Mumtaz Ahmad, the programme focused on equipping 19 aspiring entrepreneurs — 12 male and 7 females — with essential business and managerial skills. Training modules covered business planning, decision-making, financial management, and leadership through interactive sessions, under Azmat Hussain, Gul Mohammad, Gulzar Ali, Ali Mohammad and others facilitated the interaction of the existing entrepreneurs with the different unit holders at industrial estate Handwara.
A key highlight was an industrial visit to the Industrial Estate Chountipora, Handwara, offering participants firsthand exposure to real-time industrial operations.
The initiative, with JKTPO as the nodal agency headed by MD Mr. Sudarshan Kumar, received active participation and strong support from the district administration and local stakeholders.
Mr. Azmat Hussain, District Nodal Officer, JKEDI Kupwara, concluded the program by extending a heartfelt vote of thanks to the District Administration Kupwara, and in particular to the Director of JKEDI, Mr. Khalid Jehangir, for his invaluable support and guidance in making the program a resounding success.
