Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir area is gearing up for the assembly elections and ahead of these polls, security at the BJP offices in the Jammu region has been heightened following a militant threat to the party officers and the programmes being organised for the polls, reported Republic TV.
Citing top Intel sources, the report says that a militant threat is looming over the BJP offices and their programmes in the Jammu region, ahead of the Jammu and Kashmir Polls, whose first phase of voting is scheduled to take place on September 18.
Following the threat, security at all the BJP offices and the venues of the poll-related programmes has been beefed up.
The intelligence agencies have informed J&K Police and other Law Enforcement agencies of the imminent threat on the BJP officers and their programmes.
The first phase of voting for the upcoming J&K Polls will be held on September 18, the second phase will take place on September 25 and the third and the last phase of voting will happen on October 1, 2024. The counting of votes will take place on October 8, 2024.
