Srinagar: Mehbooba Mufti led Peoples’ Democratic Party on Monday nominated ten district presidents in Jammu and Kashmir, after suffering a dismal performance in Lok Sabha and General Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir.
PDP Chief Spokesperson Dr. Mehboob Beg informed in a communique that Abdul Qayoom Bhat has been nominated as District President, Mohammad Afzal Wani for Kupwara, Syed Sajad Hussain for Bandipora, Zahoor Ahmed Rather for Ganderbal, Mohammad Rafiq Rather as DP Baramulla, Mohd. Yaseen Bhat for Rajouri, Virender Singh Sonu for Jammu (Urban), K.K Sharma for Jammu (Rural) and Shameem Ahmad Ganai for Poonch.
The Mehbooba led party has over last few months seen a major revamp in the party structure after witnessing a slump in its overall political ambitions.
