Lolab (Kupwara): The Jammu and Kashmir Power Development Department (PDD) Division, district Kupwara, on Saturday conducted an awareness programme on PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Scheme at SDM Office Sogam Lolab. The initiative aimed to educate the public about benefits and enrollment processes regarding the scheme to promote solar energy as a sustainable power solution.
The event witnessed participation from all officers of PDD Division Kupwara and Subdivision Lolab, along with a substantial gathering of local residents. Officers present on the occasion included; Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) PDD Division Kupwara Mohammad Lateef along with Junior Engineer (JE) Division Lolab Firdous Qadir Bhat, Junior Engineer (JE) Kupwara Town Bashir Ahmad.
Chief Guest AEE Mohammad Lateef provided detailed insights into the scheme and highlighted its significance in fostering clean energy adoption.
Officials informed attendees about the availability of online links for registration under the scheme, encouraging eligible individuals to apply and benefit from the government’s efforts to provide free electricity through solar energy.
The programme received an overwhelmingly positive response, with attendees expressing appreciation for the comprehensive information and support offered by the PDD team.
