Srinagar: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has sanctioned extension of the Amnesty Scheme for Domestic Power Consumers, initially granted under Government order No. 103-PDD of 2022. The extension is effective for the period ending March 31, 2026, subject to the same terms and conditions specified in the previous orders.
The move, as per the order according to Alfaaz – The Words, allows a 100% waiver of interest and surcharge on outstanding amounts as of March 31, 2025, offering substantial relief to domestic electricity consumers.
The latest extension, as per the order, will be the final one, as the government has directed that no further extensions of the Amnesty Scheme shall be granted beyond this period.
