Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Government, led by Omar Abdullah, Wednesday revoked multiple orders empowering Lieutenant Governor and his administrative council.

An order to this effect reads that, “In pursuance to Notification, dated 13th October, 2024, issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, it is hereby ordered that Government Order No. 808-JK(GAD) of 2020, dated 01.09.2020, order number 810-JK(GAD) of 2020, dated 01.09.2002 and Government Order Number 811-JK(GAD) of 2002, dated 01.09.2020, alongwith any modification, alteration or addition are reminded forthwith,” reads an order.

The order comes on the day Omar Abdullah took oath as Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir.
