Srinagar: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has reconstituted the Internal Complaint Committee under the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal) Act, 2013, to ensure a safer and more equitable work environment for female employees across key administrative departments.
The fresh directive supersedes all previous orders on the matter.
The newly formed committee will cater to female members of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Services (JKAS), J&K Secretariat (Gazetted) Services-I and II, and all other female employees working in the Civil Secretariat.
The Committee will be chaired by Mandeep Kaur (IAS), Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Housing and Urban Development Department, who will serve as the Presiding Officer.
The other members of the Committee include; Shabnam Kamili (JKAS), Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, ARI & Trainings Department; Parveen Kumar (JKAS), Additional Secretary to the Government, Home Department; a representative from an NGO nominated by the Social Welfare Department; and any other person as may be co-opted by the Presiding Officer as needed.
