J&K Government Orders Major Rejig in Administration

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Government in a major shake up in administration Tuesday ordered for transfer and posting of over one hundred thirty JKAS officers in Union territory.

Citing the order in the interest of administration, the government said the transfers and postings are to take immediate effect.

Among those transferred and posted in new places include; Bashir Ahmad, Managing Director, JKPCC, transferred and posted as Secretary, J&K Public Service Commission, against an available vacancy; Rajinder Singh Tara, Director General, Youth Services and Sports, J&K, transferred and posted as Controller, Legal Metrology, J&K; Nitu Gupta, JKAS, Secretary in the Finance Department, transferred and posted as Secretary in the Agriculture Production Department.

Smita Sethi, Secretary in the Industries and Commerce Department, transferred and posted as Commissioner, Food and Drug Administration, J&K, against an available vacancy; Anuradha Gupta, Controller, Legal Metrology, J&K, transferred and posted as Director General, Youth Services and Sports, J&K; Mathora Masoom, Special Secretary to the Government, Tourism Department, transferred and posted as Managing Director, J&K Financial Corporation vice Shafat Sultan, who shall await further orders of adjustment in the General Administration Department; Abdul Hafiz Shah, JKAS, awaiting orders of adjustment in the office of Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, posted as Special Secretary to the Government, Information Technology Department.
