J&K Government Awards Police Medal for Meritorious Service to Six Officers

Srinagar: On the eve of Republic Day 2026, the Jammu and Kashmir Government conferred the Jammu and Kashmir Police Medal for Meritorious Service on six police officers and officials in recognition of their outstanding contribution to policing and public service.

As per an order issued by the Home Department, the medals were awarded for exemplary dedication, professional excellence, and commitment to duty.

The recipients include Vidhi Kumar Birdi, Inspector General of Police; Pande Rajiv Omprakash and Mubassir Latif Ameer, both Deputy Inspectors General of Police; Mushtaq Ahmad, Senior Superintendent of Police; Shakil Singh, Sub-Inspector; and Mohd Alyass, Head Constable.
