Srinagar: Sunrisers Hyderabad on Monday posted highest-ever total in ongoing Indian Premier League, scoring 287-3 in stipulated 20 overs, against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Asked to Bat first after losing the toss, the Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head opening pair gave a solid start partnering along till 108 in mere 8.1 overs. As Abhishek went back to the pavilion, in came Heinrich Klassen who flayed the Bangalore bowlers with complete disdain. While Head scored 102 of mere 41 balls, Klassen on the other hand scored 67 of 31 balls.

The only player to score with below 200 strike rate was Aiden Markram who made an unbeaten 32 of 17 deliveries.

However, the player who stole the show towards the end was Jammu and Kashmir born Cricketer Abdul Samad. The flamboyant batter made a quickfire 37 of just 10 deliveries with four fours and three magnanimous sixes to help his team post the highest ever total of the cash-rich Cricket league.

For RCB, all bowlers conceded over ten runs per over.
