J&K Assembly Elections: JKNC Releases First Batch of 18 Candidates Contesting Polls on Party Ticket

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President Farooq Abdullah, shortly after formally announcing the alliance with Indian National Congress, revealed names of eighteen candidates taking part in the electoral battle on the party ticket.

Among the announced candidates from JKNC, as per Alfaaz – The Words, include; Retd. Justice Hasnain Masoodi – Pampore; Mohammad Khalil Bandh – Pulwama; Gh. Mohi-Ud-Din Mir – Rajpora; Showkat Hussain Ganie – Zainpora; Sheikh Mohammad Rafi – Shopian; Sakina Ittoo – D.H. Pora; Peerzada Feroze Ahmad – Devsar; Chowdary Zaffer Ahmad – Larnoo; Abdul Majeed Larmi – Anantnag West; Dr Bashir Ahmad Veeri – (Bijbehara); Reyaz Ahmad Khan – Anantnag East; Altaf Ahmad Kaloo – Pahalgam; Mehboob Iqbal – Bhaderwah; Khalid Najeeb Soharwardy -Doda; Arjun Singh Raju – Ramban; Sajad Shaheen – Banihal; Sajad Kichloo – Kishtwar and Pooja Thokur – Pader-Nagsani.

Earlier in the evening the JKNC-INC announced the alliance with JKNC fetching 51, INC 32, CPI(M) and Panthers’ Party one each. The JKNC-INC have decided to jointly contest on five seats.
