Jawahar Institute of Mountaineering & Winter Sports team scales two peaks above 6600 mtrs in record time

Srinagar: Jawahar Institute of Mountaineering and Winter Sports (JIM&WS) under the leadership of Colonel Hem Chandra Singh, Principal, JIM & WS successfully submitted. Mt Chamsar 6630 M on 25 July 1000h and Mt Lunser 6666 M on 27 July 0510 H in Tso Morari Region of Ladakh.

During the daring adventure, the team created several records including; i) Successful summit of Mt Chamser 6630 M and Mt Lunser 6666 Mtrs. after a gap of 14 years; ii) Successful snowboarding for the first time in history from Mount Chamser 6630 Mtrs. and iii) Both the peaks were successfully sumitted in a record time of mere three days.
