Jammu and Kashmir Women Lawyers Association Condemns Pahalgam Attack

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Women Lawyers Association has unequivocally condemned the devastating terrorist attack on innocent tourists in Pahalgam, taking lives of at least twenty six persons and leaving many others injured.

“This tragic incident has sent shockwaves throughout our community, leaving an indelible mark on the families of the victims. We offer our sincerest condolences and unwavering support to those who have suffered unimaginable loss,” President Jammu and Kashmir Women Lawyers Association Heena Sultan said in a statement issued here..

“The attack on tourists is a reprehensible assault on humanity, striking at the very heart of Jammu and Kashmir’s renowned hospitality and cultural heritage. Such acts of terrorism have no place in our society.”

“We urge the authorities to launch a swift and thorough investigation, leaving no stone unturned in identifying and apprehending the perpetrators, their accomplices, and abettors,” reads the statement.

“Furthermore, we emphasize the need for collective action against terrorism. We appeal to the people of Jammu and Kashmir to stand united against forces that seek to disrupt peace and harmony,” the statement reads.

“As women lawyers, we reaffirm our commitment to upholding justice, human rights, and the rule of law. We pledge to support initiatives that safeguard the well-being and dignity of all citizens and visitors,” reads the statement, adding, “we stand in solidarity with the victims and their families, we demand justice and a safer, more just Jammu and Kashmir for all.”
