Jammu and Kashmir: Army man killed in Pakistani shelling

Srinagar: An army man was killed in Pakistani shelling along the Line of Control in the Poonch sector on Wednesday.

News agency JKNS quoted a defence spokesperson as saying that the soldier, who was posted in the Poonch sector, attained Veergati due to unprovoked shelling by Pakistani forces. “He laid down his life in the line of duty,” said the spokesperson.

Meanwhile, casualties and injuries have also been reported elsewhere in the ongoing shelling across the district.
