Lolab: Veteran Journalist and Kashmir Press Service Correspondent Shafat Ahmad Bhat was on Wednesday felicitated with “Shaan-i-Kashmir Award” on the occasion of International Mother Tongue Day.
Bhat was felicitated for his remarkable performance in the field of Journalism during an event organised by Sagar Cultural Forum Chuakar Pattan Kashmir at Madina Public School Gund Khawaja Qasim Pattan.
The journalist, also working as Assistant Broadcaster at Akashwani Srinagar, recieved the award at the hands of renowned poet Fayaz Tilgami & Editor Tameel-i-Irshad Nazim Nazir in presence of Sagar Nazir, Nisar Gulzar and Afzal Hashmi besides other prominent poets.
Bhat associated with Kashmir Press Service (KPS) is in the field of journalism from last 14 years and has been awarded on many occasions so far for his outstanding contribution in the field.

Meanwhile, many delegations including literary bodies have extended their best wishes to Shafat Ahmad Bhat on getting acknowledged for his contribution to the journalism.
