Lalpora (Lolab): In a meaningful initiative to inspire and educate young minds, the Rednag COB – CIF(K)/Headquarters 8 Sector RR/28RR – organised an engaging interaction with the schoolchildren of Lalpora, Lolab focusing on the region’s natural heritage, the future of technology, and the importance of education.
The session opened with a conversation on Kashmir’s rich natural wealth — its pristine rivers, lush forests, medicinal plants, and globally renowned apple orchards and saffron fields.
The students were encouraged to take pride in their homeland’s resources while learning the importance of environmental conservation and sustainable practices.
Kashmir being blessed with nature’s bounty and how it becomes responsibility of every citizen of Kashmir to protect it, and find opportunity to build a future from it were discussed.
As the discussion progressed, attention turned toward the World of Artificial Intelligence (AI) — a topic that sparked immense curiosity amongst the children. Explanation on how AI is transforming everyday life, from agriculture and healthcare to defense and digital education, with relatable examples were conveyed and how students from even the remotest areas can become part of this global transformation was made to understand.
The talk emphasized that embracing AI and other modern technologies requires a strong academic foundation. Hence, efforts were made to motivate the children to take studies and examinations seriously and to prepare with consistent effort and self-belief.
The interaction concluded with a call to dream big, study hard, and never underestimate the power of education — especially when combined with the natural strength and resilience that defines the people of Kashmir.
The interaction left the students with hope, inspiration, and a sense of purpose. This initiative reflects the Indian Army’s commitment not only to safeguarding the region but also to empowering its future through education, awareness, and positive engagement.
