Indian Army Holds Medical Camp for Women at Krusan

Lolab (Kupwara): Indian army’s Krusan camp on Saturday in a remarkable outreach effort organized a Women’s Primary Health Camp at Krusan, providing free medical consultation & medicines to over 300 women across seven remote villages in North Lolab.

The camp not only provided essential healthcare services, but also raised health awareness thus fostering a spirit of trust and support between the Army and the local communities.

Women of all age groups, from young girls to elderly grandmothers, along with 35 elderly males, attended the camp with great enthusiasm. The services offered included general health check-ups, gynecological consultations, health education on hygiene and nutrition and distribution of basic medicines. Special attention was given to preventive healthcare and on empowering women with the knowledge to manage their health proactively.

The villagers expressed heartfelt gratitude towards the Army for their compassionate initiative. Many women shared that such dedicated medical attention was a rare opportunity for them and spoke warmly of the Army’s efforts to bridge healthcare gaps in remote areas.

Medical officer along with her team from the Army worked tirelessly throughout the day to ensure that each attendee received personal attention and appropriate guidance. Educational sessions on maternal health, child care and lifestyle diseases were also conducted, receiving excellent participation and feedback.

The Indian Army reaffirmed its commitment to the welfare of local communities through this successful health camp, strengthening the bond of trust and cooperation between the Army and the people it serves.
