Lolab (Kupwara): Indian army on eve of World Veterinary Day, organised a dedicated animal health camp in remote villages of Shrant and Warnow areas of North Lolab, reaffirming its commitment to the welfare and development of local communities.

The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 135 villagers, a testament to the strong bond of trust shared between the Army and the residents.

During the Day long camp, around 90 ill and weak livestock were examined, treated, and vaccinated. Free distribution of medicines and nutritional supplements for over 850 animals were provided, which came as a major help to the local Gujjar and Bakarwal communities, who rely heavily on their livestock for livelihood.

The tireless efforts of the veterinary doctor and his team was duly appreciated. Their dedication and compassionate service ensured that even the remotest households received timely veterinary care. To further assist the villagers, an awareness lecture was conducted, offering valuable insights on animal health management, disease prevention, and best livestock practices.

Through such humanitarian initiatives, the Indian Army continues to stand shoulder to shoulder with the people, strengthening bonds of trust, promoting wellbeing, and contributing to the overall progress of the region.
