IAS Akshay Labroo’s Deputation to J&K Gets One Year Extension

Srinagar: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved a one-year extension of the inter-cadre deputation of IAS officer Akshay Labroo, who is currently serving as Deputy Commissioner of Srinagar, in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

As per an order, Labroo, a 2018-batch IAS officer of the Tripura cadre, will continue on inter-cadre deputation to the AGMUT cadre for posting in Jammu and Kashmir beyond February 17, 2026.

The extension has been granted in relaxation of the prevailing deputation policy, following a proposal moved by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) and subsequently approved by the ACC.
