Holiday On Account of Urs Sheikh Noor Ud Din Noorani (RA) Stands Postponed, Confirms Div Com V.K Bidhuri

Srinagar: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir V.K Bidhuri on Friday evening confirmed the government’s decision to postpone holiday on account of Urs of Sheikh Noor Ud Din Noorani (RA).

The holiday earlier scheduled on September 30, 2024 (Monday) will now be observed in the last week of October, subject to the appearance of the moon, Bidhuri, as per Alfaaz – The Words said.

The development has come after CEO, J&K Waqf Board, recommended for postponement of the holiday from the Jammu and Kashmir administration, following which Under Secretary to the Government Sheetal Chaudhary, sought from Commissioner Secretary consideration to postpone the holiday.
