Handwara: The District Police Handwara on Wednesday marked Constitution Day 2025 with solemnity and renewed commitment to the principles enshrined in the Indian Constitution.
Observances were held across all police establishments in the district, underscoring the force’s dedication to constitutional duties and democratic values.
The central function took place at the District Police Lines (DPL) Handwara, where SSP Handwara Sahil Sarangal (IPS), joined by senior district officers, administered the Constitutional Oath to officers and officials.
Addressing the gathering, the SSP stressed the importance of adhering to constitutional ethos and urged personnel to uphold justice, equality and integrity in every aspect of policing. He called upon the force to ensure that the mandate of the Constitution is upheld in both letter and spirit while serving the public.
Oath-taking ceremonies were also held at all police stations, posts and units across the district, with senior officers leading their teams in reaffirming commitment to constitutional values.
Reiterating the district police’s resolve, SSP Sarangal said the J&K Police will continue to work tirelessly to safeguard citizens’ rights, strengthen democratic ideals and uphold the rule of law.
Handwara Police affirmed that it remains steadfast in its mission to preserve and promote the foundational values of the Constitution of India.
