Srinagar: In a heartening development, a girl hailing from Handwara has won Silver medal in the ongoing Khelo India Games in Dehradun Uttarakhand.
The girl by the name Mehreen Jaan, daughter of Altaf Banday from Banday Mohalla Handwara won the medal in the Senior 60 Kg category in Wushu League after she won five out of five bouts against her rivals.
Mehreen till today has won 4 gold medals, one silver medal and one international gold medal.
