Handwara Accident: Qayser Jamsheed Visits to Enquire into Well-being of Injured Students at GMC H’wara

Handwara: MLA Lolab, Qaiser Jamshed Lone, visited Government Medical College (GMC) Handwara on Sunday to assess the condition of those injured in a tragic road accident that occurred yesterday.

The legislator was accompanied by District President of the Women’s Wing JKNC, Dr. Rabia Wani.

During his visit, MLA Lone stated that the Chief Minister has announced ex-gratia compensation of Rs 1 lakh for the families of the deceased, Rs 50,000 for those critically injured, and Rs 25,000 for those with minor injuries.

The accident claimed the lives of two students from Government Degree College (GDC) Sogam and left nearly 29 others injured.
