New Delhi: The Hajj Committee of India on Thursday introduced a self booking facility for pilgrim flights for Hajj 2026, marking a significant step towards digitisation and greater passenger choice in the pilgrimage process.
Official said the facility has been launched through a dedicated online portal, allowing pilgrims to select and confirm their flight tickets directly using their login credentials on the Hajj Committee of India website and the Haj Suvidha mobile application. The booking window will remain open for four days starting today.
The initiative is optional and is intended to offer flexibility to pilgrims by enabling them to choose travel dates and flight options, subject to seat availability and airline schedules. Officials said the move aligns with broader efforts to modernise service delivery and reduce procedural delays.
At the same time, the Committee has issued a clear advisory. Pilgrims who do not avail the self booking option within the specified period will be automatically allotted flights by the Hajj Committee of India. In such cases, no individual preferences regarding travel dates or airlines will be entertained.
All State Hajj Committees have been directed to widely publicise the new facility and provide necessary assistance to pilgrims who may face difficulties while using the online system.
Pilgrims have also been advised to follow the official Hajj Committee WhatsApp channel for timely updates and information related to the pilgrimage.
