Srinagar: Days after a report informing of 711 intended pilgrims opting out from pilgrimage ‘after being unable to pay fees’, the private Hajj quota in Jammu and Kashmir has seen inclusion of fourteen private Hajj operators, who will have the luxury to carry an aggregate of 750 more pilgrims to the holy pilgrimage of Hajj-2025.
The inclusion of the newly announced vacancies is aimed at minimising the gap between the allocated seats with the actual pilgrims and also minimise the loss, which otherwise the HCoI, may incur.
As per details available with Alfaaz – The Words, Labaika Haj & Umrah Services is being allowed to carry hundred pilgrims, with the rest thirteen other agencies including, Al Hayat Hajj & Omrah, Universe Travel Corporation, Behreen Travels, Al Ghazali Tours & Travels, Sahar Tours & Travels, Al-Huda Travels, Al-Safeer Tour & Travels, Fly High Tour & Travels, Gazi Tour & Travels, Al Ansar Tours & Travels, Al Haramain Hajj & Umrah Services, Javid Iqbal and Madina World Travels Pvt. Ltd, have been allocated with fifty seats each.
Despite multiple extensions for submitting Hajj 2025 forms, Jammu and Kashmir’s Haj Committee has just remained with 3,602 applications – as of now – a decrease of more than 55 per cent from the previous year.
