Gunshots Heard Amid CASO In Sopore Village

Srinagar: Some gunshots were heard during a cordon-and-search-operation in Sagipora area of North Kashmir’s Sopore on Thursday evening.

News agency GNS quoted a top police officer as saying that on a specific input, a cordon and search operation was launched in Sagipora by a joint team of JK Police and army’s 22 RR army this evening.

During the operation, some gunshots were heard subsequently the security cordon was tightened around the area, he said.
