Gunfight Breaks Out in North Kashmir’s Kupwara

Srinagar: An encounter has broken out between security forces and militants in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

As per officials, an encounter has gone underway in Nagmarg (Pass) in Kupwara after security forces intercepted movement of militants in the area. The encounter site lies close to adjacent Bandipora district.

At least two militants are believed to be trapped at the site.

The intermittent exchange of gunfire was going on when this report is being filed.
