Grand Mufti J&K Urges for Sectarian Bonhomie To Defeat Inimical Intentions of Miscreants

Srinagar: Grand Mufti Jammu and Kashmir, Mufti Nasir ul Islam on Monday made a fervent appeal to all the stakeholders to maintain peace and harmony and uphold sectarian bonhomie to defeat inimical intentions of miscreants.

In a message issued here, Farooqi said that he humbly appeals to all Shia and Sunni communities to stand together against hate as to promote peace and harmony.

Urging the people to respect the decisions of the Apex Committee of Valley-based scholars from different schools of thought, and from those belonging from Shia and Sunni communities, Farooqi said that, “We urge you to respect the decisions of Apex Committee and refrain from uploading videos aimed at spreading hatred and disturbing the prevailing peace.”

“Let us work together to maintain a spirit of unity and cooperation to defeat inimical intentions of miscreants,” urged Farooqi, adding, “those involved in spreading hate and mischief will face stern action.”
