Grand Mufti J&K, Mufti Nasir ul Islam Strongly Condemns Attack on Tourists in Pahalgam

Srinagar: Grand Mufti Jammu and Kashmir, Mufti Nasir ul Islam Farooqi on Tuesday strongly condemned attack on tourists in tourist destination Pahalgam in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

Islam while deploring the attack as highly condemnable said, “I strongly condemn the brutal attack in Pahalgam, which resulted in the loss of innocent lives and injured many others.”

“Such acts of terror and violence are unacceptable and have no place in our society.”

“My thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims and those affected by this tragedy,” Islam said.

“I urge everyone to stand united against terrorism and work towards creating a peaceful and harmonious community,” he said further.

Pertinent to mention here that a group of tourists was attacked by militants, leaving a few of them dead and injuries to almost two dozen others, at Baisaran area in Pahalgam. The attack has evoked widespread condemnation from people belonging from different walks of life.
