Srinagar: In supression of its earlier order regarding opening of educational institutions tomorrow, the Jammu and Kashmir government has now announcing extension vis-a-vis the closure till March 7.
The decision comes amid widespread protests reported from parts of the Valley following the killing of Iranโs Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Making the fresh announcement, Education Minister Sakina Itoo said the move has been taken to ensure the safety and security of students.
โWe have decided to keep schools, colleges and universities closed till March 7,โ Itoo said.
She added that the government is closely monitoring the situation and a decision regarding the reopening of institutions will be taken only after assessing the ground circumstances.
