Govt BHSS Lalpora Lolab Bids Warm Farewell to Principal Peer Bashir Ahmad on Attaining Superannuation

Kupwara: Government Boys Higher Secondary School Lalpora Lolab on Tuesday held an extraordinary farewell function in honour superannuating Principal Peer Bashir Ahmad.

The day was quite a celebration devoted to the years spent together with colleagues, friends and relatives, to reminisce joyous moments. The school was on the occasion decorated with colours and decorations.

Being a colourful affair, the farewell dances, songs and skits marked the daylong celebrations.

The function was attended by CEO Kupwara Peer Mehraj ud Din as Chief Guest in presence of other senior education officers including several ZEOs and principals and headmasters of various higher educational institutions. The ceremony also saw a huge gathering of teachers from schools in the area and beyond.

Among the notable dignitaries present on the occasion included, Ali Principal GHSS Sogam Mohammad Bhat, Principal HSS Khumriyal Nazir Ahmad Khan, Principal HSS Maidanpora Mohammad Anwar Wani, Principal HSS Warnow Abdul Qayoom Khatana, President Markazi Awqaf Islamia Lalpora Mahmood ul Hassan, local political leader Dr Mudasir Akbar Shah and Habibullah Bhat.

CEO Kupwara Peer Mehraj ud Din on the occasion highlighted the contributions of the retiree during his tenure and said that the superannuating officer has always remained on his toes while imparting the quality education during his services.

All other speakers also hailed the tireless approach, punctuality, dedication and honesty of Peer Bashir Ahmad.

The students also performed on various themes to show their love, honour and respect for their beloved Principal.

Furthermore, the dice incharge Wasiq Rasool made the day memorable for the audience with his distinctive and peculiar demonstrations.

Towards the culmination, the atmosphere bore a sombre look as attendees to the occasion bade an emotional farewell to the superannuating officer.
