Kupwara: Ahead of the much anticipated Lolab Mela, a volleyball tournament for girls was on Tuesday inaugurated in the area.
Nurturing sports talent in girls, especially in the sport of volleyball, is essential for promoting gender equality in sports and fostering a healthy, active lifestyle. Providing young girls with access to volleyball training programs, facilities, and coaching is the first step in identifying and developing their potential. By creating a supportive and inclusive environment, we can encourage more girls to participate in volleyball and unlock their hidden talents.
This is for the second time the Volleyball Tournament for Girls is being organized prelude to Lolab Mela at such a huge level in Lolab, Kupwara. In this Girls Volleyball Championship
A total of 17 teams and 180 girls from Lolab, Kupwara District will be participating in the event. The event will be conducted for more than a week.
The participation in the event has been overwhelming as teams participating in the event are from various educational institutes of Lolab valley.
The event’s aim is to identify sporting talents and provide the Girls and women of Kashmir the immense opportunities to excel in sports.
The event is highly appreciated by the civil administration, PRIs, locals and the participants.
