Ghulam Jeelani Wani Formally Assumes Charge As SSP Kupwara, Ifroz Ahmad As SP Handwara

Kupwara: Ghulam Jeelani Wani on Saturday assumed charge as Senior Superintendent of Police Kupwara and Ifroz Ahmad taking over as Superintendent of Police Handwara.

The two police officers, as per Alfaaz – The Words, were warmly welcomed on the occasion of taking the respective charges in the offices, with the sub-ordinates felicitating them with bouquets and gifts.

At Kupwara, SSP Wani was welcomed by ASP Ghulam Mohammad Bhat, DySP Hqr Mohammad Rafi, DySP DAR Mujahid Ahmad, DySP Raies Ahmad, Incharge JIC Inspector Riyaz Ahmad Mir and other sub-ordinates.

While Ghulam Jeelani has succeeded Shobhit Saxena as SSP Kupwara, Ifroz Ahmad on the other hand replaced SP Dawood Ayoub.

Both the officers have a long experience in the Police Department, with Ghulam Jeelani himself having previously served as SP Handwara, several years before.

The officers have in the meantime emphasized upon quality policing two Police districts for the larger convenience of the public.
