Sopore: The department of Management Studies, Govt. Degree College Sopore, on Thursday organized a daylong workshop sponsored by Indian Council of Social Science Research, GOI, New Delhi on the theme Socio-Economic impact of Central Govt. Schemes under the Chairmanship of Prof. (Dr.) Salma Ahad Principal, Govt, Degree College Sopore.
The key focus of the workshop was to discuss research findings of the research project sponsored by ICSSR entitled โLeveraging on Special Industry Initiative (UDAAN Scheme) for J&K in Envisioning Socio-Economic Transitions in Youth of Jammu and Kashmir.โ
The workshop was attended by the dignitaries from the line departments including Mr. Tufail Anayat from J&K Bank Model Town Sopore Branch, Dr. Sajad Ahmad Astt, Professor GDC Baramulla,Dr.Owais Chiraj Asst.Professor GCW Nowakadal ,Dr. Aijaz Ahmad Shah, Panchayat Secretary Block Wagoora, Mr. Zahoor-ul-Islam Financial Advisor to J&K Bank and members of Anganwardi Centres, Self Help Groups, Social Workers and Officials from Postal Department who highlighted the schemes related to entrepreneurship and startup development run by their respective departments.
The students got benefitted from the knowledge and experience of the speakers and showed keen interest in establishing business enterprises and generation of livelihood.
