GDC Ganderbal conducts pre-admission counselling for UG courses

Ganderbal: Government Degree College, Ganderbal organised a pre-admission counselling session for prospective students seeking admission for various UG programs offered by the college for the year 2024 on Thursday.

The program was conducted in the College Auditorium where huge gathering of admission aspirants, parents, teaching and non- teaching staff of the college attended the program. The proceedings of the program were conducted by Dr. Sheikh Tanveer Salam (Coordinator IQAC).

The program started with a welcome address by Principal Prof. Fouzia Fatima in which she after formally welcoming all the admission aspirants and their parents also congratulated the students for choosing Ganderbal Degree College for taking the admission. This was followed by power point presentation of Dr. Sheikh Tanveer Salam briefing the students about the student centric facilities available in the college and the achievements of the college in different field to orient the students for taking admission in different programs offered by the college.

Prof. Mujeeb Ahamad Kawoosa (Convener Admission) through his power point presentation gave a comprehensive outline of the course structure for different UG programs offered under NEP after that the stage was kept open for doubt clearing session to address the doubts and queries of the students regarding different programs which were addressed by the respective faculty members of the college.

Dr. Salma Khan (NCC officer) oriented the prospective students towards NCC highlighting the benefits of joining NCC. Ravinder Kaur (College PTI) highlighted the sports facilities available for the students to attract them towards the sports for their holistic development. The program concluded with special remarks and formal vote of thanks by Prof. Fayaz Ahamad Sheikh (HOD Chemistry).
