Ganderbal: In a move aimed at reinforcing public order and civic responsibility, Ganderbal Police has secured community service sentences for two individuals found guilty of creating a public nuisance.
The convicted, Sahil Ahmad Rather, son of Manzoor Ahmad Rather, and Mohd Hussain Rather, son of Ghulam Mohd Rather, both residents of Kangan, were reportedly involved in disorderly conduct while intoxicated, disturbing peace in their locality.
Following due legal procedures, the Judicial Magistrate First Class Court, Kangan, ordered both individuals to perform community service by cleaning the premises of the JMIC Court, Kangan.
Officials said the action reflects Ganderbal Policeโs commitment to maintaining a law-abiding environment and promoting community accountability. Authorities emphasized that such corrective measures not only address individual misconduct but also serve as a deterrent against acts that disrupt public harmony.
The police reiterated their ongoing efforts to ensure peace, safety, and responsible civic behaviour across the district.
