Jahangir Lolabi
Lolab: Haji Saif Ullah War, a respected religious figure and founder of ‘Moehid Ul Quran’ from Shallgund Lalpora Lolab, has passed away after a brief illness. He was in his 40’s.
According to family sources, Haji Saif Ullah experienced chest pain at home and was initially treated at SDH Sogam before being referred to Soura, where he eventually passed away later on.
Throughout his life, Haji Saif Ullah was deeply committed to religious educational upliftment and social welfare. He dedicated himself to teaching the Holy Quran and Islamic education, particularly focusing on empowering women. He performed the duties of cleric at various local mosques in Lalpora and had also performed Hajj at a young age.
One of his significant contributions was the establishment of “Moehid Ul Quran,” a religious institution in Shalgund Lalpora aimed at educating women the Holy Quran, which transformed the lives of many illiterate women in the region. His initiative became an inspiration for similar projects in other areas. He was a prominent social worker, always at the forefront of developmental efforts in his native village.
Meanwhile, many socio-political leaders have expressed their grief and extended condolences to bereaved family besides praying for the peace of the departed soul.
The funeral prayers (Namaz-e-Janaza) of the departed soul were led by Maulana Mohammad Shafi Makki at Boys Higher Secondary School Lalpora ground. The prayers were participated by a huge number of people from different sections of the society.
