Shopian: Former MLA Wachi, Aijaz Ahmad Mir, convened a significant Workers’ Convention in Zainapora today, addressing party workers and highlighting the pressing issues confronting the people of the constituency.
During his speech, Mir criticized the Omar Abdullah-led government for failing to fulfill key promises made during their election campaigns. He called for accountability and urged the government to honor its commitments, which include:
- Waiving off Kisan Credit Card (KCC) loans to provide relief to farmers.
- Providing 14 free gas cylinders annually to reduce household financial burdens.
- Offering 200 units of free electricity to all ration card holders.
- Reducing electricity tariffs to alleviate consumer financial pressures.
Expressing concern over the growing public dissatisfaction, Mir assured the audience that he would continue amplifying the demands of the people on every platform. He emphasized his unwavering commitment to the welfare and development of Zainapora.
