FIR Registered Over Circulation of ‘Sensitive Content’ on Social Media in South Kashmir District

Srinagar: Shopian Police have registered a case after a video containing allegedly sensitive content surfaced on social media.

The video, shared via a Facebook page titled “Voice of Humanity,” reportedly featured a speech promoting separatist sentiments and activities intended to disrupt public peace and order.

According to officials, an FIR bearing No. 109/2025 has been lodged at Police Station Zainapora, and an investigation into the matter has been initiated.

Police authorities have reiterated their commitment to preserving peace and public harmony, stating that firm legal action will be taken against individuals or groups attempting to misuse social media platforms to incite unrest or spread divisive content.
