Families of Serving Armymen Condemn Dastardly Attack on Former Trooper in Kulgam, Demand Logical Action Against Assailants

Srinagar: Families of serving and retired armymen and local populace have strongly condemned the dastardly attack on family of a former soldier.

Locals from different parts of Lolab Valley especially those from Warnow Lolab, Sogam Chowk, Doban Lolab, Wavoora, lodged a strong yet peaceful protest over the heinous attack on the family of a retired soldier in south Kashmir’s Kulgam.

“It is too condemnable and inhumane to attack anyone or his family, that too on someone who has served the nation by giving up on his comfort and precious years of his life,” a local protestor person said.

Urging the society to show their abhorrence and resentment to the attack, the locals said that it was high time that everyone comes out to register their protest against such an inhumane and heinous act.

“Today it is a family in Kulgam, tomorrow it can be anyone lest we raise our voice unequivocally to put across a strong message to these assailants, better to say to these enemies of peace,” he said.

Another local urged the authorities to find & bring the assailants to justice. “The attackers deserve an exemplary action to be taken against them and any such action will not only bring some relief to the victims but at the same time alarm any future terrorists that their actions won’t go unaccounted for,” he said.

The families expressing their frustration over the act, nonetheless expressed hope that the Central and UT governments in association with the security grid will bring to justice such elements who are hellbent to disturb the law and order situation & bring peace to this hallowed land.
